To help promote new and innovative treatments at the Medical Center, The Ohio State University came to Promedia Creative to develop a series of 1 minute information vignettes. After the topic was chosen, Promedia would be responsible for interviewing the medical professional involved, the patient, and shooting all necessary b-roll, sometimes including in the operating room during surgery. Promedia would review the footage, write the script, and edit the spot for broadcast.
The success of project became evident when a sharp increase in inquiries occurred following the broadcast of a “Medical Minute.” A piece on robotic prostate surgery was especially successful, with several patients crediting their new treatment with first seeing the “Medical Minute.”
